The race  "Pažout motoparty show" is the biggest, with neverending program and one of the most sophisticated motocycle show in the Czech Republic. As the last year we spent there the rainy weekend, we prayed now not to have such a pitty this week. Till the 8 p.m. the weather was perfect, but after that the big shower started to fall down and it has not finished till the morning. The shower was so heavy that it totaly destroyed our team tent which is now for the general repair or throwing out. Unfortunately  some other team had the same problem.   

This year the show also included the German champinoship of 90 motocycles and cars. In addition to this there were also a lot of bands as Vilém Čok (who unfortunately sang before a few watchers due to the rain), Seven, Zonyga, etc. 

Our team could not use the perfectly penetrated lane and has not reached any special results. At the first run we had again the problem with N2O. The second run, our motocycle froze onto the lane so deep, that after the start it was going to rise up and Pavel had to decelerate it. Though that big loss, Pavel made small speed record of 236 km/hour. At the third run we pumped so hard the tire, that Pavel slided over  200 m till he reached the 5 at the gear – there the tire finally cought on - and the final time was bad. So on Sunday after the big and long shower, we decided to abort the race and go home, because the 4th cylinder did not go well as it should have gone and after the shower, damages and in the 14 degree temperature we were not good tempered.  It seemed that the rain had not stopped this day, so we got the last position in Bechyně. In SSB category Rose (D) on Hayabuse won, our Ondra Klymčiw was the 3rd. In Modi Twin Category Zbyněk Kostelka won on Buel turbo before Milan Koláčný on HD and in the Competition Category Otta Knebl won on Kawasaki 1400 turbo before Herman Jolink on Ducatti.  

On the starting list everybody can see the regretful number of racers and also the trend of decreasing number of racers which  still continues. The number is step by step comes near to 25 and it could be alarming. In 2001 approx 70 racers took part. Our team send the reccomendation to the Head of CDC, describing how it could be improved, we set the most problematic areas which can be the cause of the decreasing racer numbers and we suggested some ideas how to do races more attractive (except Bechyně, which is perfect). We are very sorry, that even any of these points were not given to the consideration, but also we looked in the CDC eyes as idiots. To express our disagreement with this kind of CDC behavior, we did not attend the next race in Hoškovice.

Test Day

Here we are! After the winter break we again met with other dragster fun´s at the test day. It was more powerful, because we could try „new motocycles“. Both redone Kawasaki and also the new SSB dragster. Unfortunately Krystof´s 600 ccm does not work. It is absolutly curious but the pump type lubrication was not functional and from that reason Krystof has to wait for his first run in „adult“ category by the same race. On the other hand everything was OK with Pavel so we impatiently awaited how he would fight with his new forceful Yamaha. Even he also jumped on the twice stronger engine. Just the first run did not disappoint our expactation. Yamaha went absoultly perfectly and Pavel just now felt that SSB dragster would be more powerful and totaly different than 600 ccm motocycle! We were satisfied with times around 10.3 sec. Due to training and testing we did not go with N20 (nitrous oxide) which could help not only to push Pavel to the nek but also lower our times below 10 sec. We also observed happening around us. I would like to mention the new Otto Knebl machine in the Competition Dragster category, which was very well prepared and also Milos Bernatek machine, which unfortunately has not been running. So we will se! We believe that all champions prepare their machines to the top form. First race takes place during the whole weekend on May 8th. Of course everybody is cordially welcomed. It will be big challenge for all members from our team so keep fingers crossed!

Winter´s

preparations

First races are coming up very quickly and how our preparation looks like? After 4 years Motorwood decided to leave from economic reasons the National dragster category, because it was too expensive to support both categories. Fortunately after 10 days of searching another alternatives krystofnews.jpg (100922 bytes)we found out the way how to race. We borrowed the engine Kawasaki ZX6-R from Michal Ponca. New Kawasaki ZX6-R engine, year 2007, including injection is now for sale (see the contact). The whole motocykle 18dragday_2168.jpg (90622 bytes)will be for sale in the summer time and the price will be around 40 000 CZK. So potential buyers can write on our email address.  Kryštof Brokeš starts to race as a beginner in the category of „small drags“ and he willl introduced himself not only with plenty of horses, where missed in 125ccm category, but also with the double speed. We are sure that it will be difficult for him, but we believe that he will be at least a small rival for the rest of competitors. Pavel Beer Werdan comes from National Dragster to Suber Street Bike. His goal was already conquered, he reached the 1st place in the National Dragster Category in 2008 and he had also the unofficial record (this record is recognized after exceeding 1% of the original record), which was valid almost year and half (9,75 sec). He bought Yamaha XJR 1250NX. It will be dificult for him to race without helping wheelbars, but he hopes that after some races he will be somewhere in the middle of the table. Motorwood went through the most categories: Junior Dragster, Teenager Dragster, National Dragster, Super Street Bike. Except SSB, where we are the beginner,  we gained in each category one of the medal and we hope that we will continue in gaining other successes also in the future.

Czech Championship  Hoskovice

Pavel last embracement happened in Bechyne in the final victorious duel with Michal Pekarek. With these words we could describe the special motocycle Kawasaki 600 in the National Dragster category versus Pavel. Pavel drove on 3 cylinders and at home after measuring the compression, he found out that the compression was 0 and it was more than clear that either rings (small probability) or exhaust valve was broken. motor.jpg (656966 bytes)After disassembling Pavel determined that all 4 pistons (see photo) were destroyed and of course this exhaus valve. As our team does not have the engine for replacement (the repair does not pay off) and there is no need to be in rush to buy a new one, that´s why we decided to buy some „new and old“ engine as the old one was made in 1995. And what did it cause? All pistons bet against the valves and after that all pistons were damaged. Fortunately that all pistons were not broken by the run as the piston rod could go through the engine block and the whole engine would be totaly destroyed.

Next year Pavel will have a small break and he starts to think about the going to another category, either Competition Dragster or SSB.

Krystof also had the last embracement with his 125 motocycle. Kryštof is going abroad in Aug 29, so Bechyne was also his last race in the Teenager Dragster. During the winter time Kryštof completely disintegrates his motocycle, introduces with it and the next year he will drove in the National Category. He will learn to drive the motocycle with approx. 10 times stronger power and also approx. twice higher speed. So we will be curious about him.

Races at „Pazout motomejdan show" are one of the biggest and the most excellent event in the Czech Republic. Many music bands, casts, exhibitions and the dragster championship. I am only very sorry, that „pažouts“ had a very big bad luck, because from 7 a .m. on Saturday it rained the whole day till 4 p.m. Of course only watchers who came on Friday left. We, racers, sat in our depot and either ate or drank the beer. We were not be able to do anything else, because the temperature reached only 12 degree and we were very cold. The Saturday ´s show was over and only in the evening we saw exhibition of US cars and one race of Gerd Habermann on Jet Dragster with the power of  15000HP. He can drive up to 450 km / hour and the distance of 400 m he is able to go through within 5,9 sec. Berd performed another drive on Sunday in time of 7,136 sec. so he did a small breathing-space, but still it was a great experience. By the way we saw also Je Bike with the horse power of 3 500 and Eliminator „Competition Dragster“ with the horse power of 1 600. Sunday was more fine and we came into 2 qualification runs and the race itself. In the meantime we saw mentioned cars from Germany. The performance of 1000 horse power in the time of 10 sec was super! One of the most great expirience was when Frank Richter with Plymouth Duster started to warm up tyres. Such a big noice nobody has ever expected. The noise went out from exhaust pipes, journalist jumped away and Hutla´s cap and earphones flow away also. Míla Bernátek did not take part, as some bleeders stole him Skoda car and also his motocycle SSB-Suzuki (photo) on Friday. Car was found somewhere at the Poland border, but the mototcycle is away. I think that this kind of special moto or at least the engine is appearing somewhere, so if anybody see it, please let us now! The photo is here. Another sensation happened when Michal Opat started to race, after the start, his motocycle went bold upright and Michal fall down. For some minutes he lay shaked on land. Luckily nothing happened to him and also his motocycle was relatively OK, but they were very long hot seconds. We borrowed photo from Monika from Scorpio Dragster team.   

In the Teenager dragster 125 we drove alone and did also a small record of 18,138 sec and 104,61 km/sec speed. It is nothing special, but the motocycle will go to sleep, because Kryštof will start to race in th National Dragster Category. He will take the motocycle after Pavel Beer Werdan, who does not know where to race the next year or if he take a one year break.

Pavel with Tomas Cizek had a nice run in the time of 10,107, even though that Tomas reaction time was better. Tomas had 0,154 sec and Pavel 0,344 sec. At finals Pavel got on against Michal Pekarek. When Pavel started to warm up tyres, there was such a smoke from one of the exhaust pipe and the motocycle faded. It was clear that the moto would go only with 3 working cylinders. Michal started into the red light and Pavel could drive only using the 4th speed and after reaching the end he turned off the engine. In the Competition Dragster Category Otta Knebl worthily won before Ricci and Jolink. Nice finals were also in the SSB category, where Ondra Klymciv won before Anasagastim with the final speed of 296,62 km/sec and in the time of 8,442 sec. In the Modi Twin Category Pavel Kubera won before Milan Kolacny in the time of 9,446 sec.

Excepting the weather, I think that it was great weekend and we could see a lot of interesting. Who was not, definitely made a mistake.

We spent the final „dot“ and said good bye to 2008 season in November 8th in Olšina not so far from Mnichovo Hradiště, where all racers come into their´s own. Officially Pavel Beer Werdan took the plate for the winner and the Champion of the Czech Republic 2008 in the category of National Dragster for all motocycles up to 600 ccm. Our second racer Kryštof Brokeš took the plate for the 2nd place and for Vicechampion of the Czech Republic 2008 in the category of Teenager Dragster for motocycles up to 125 ccm. So we realized our „homework“ and reached high goals in this challenging sport. Let´s only hope that the next season 2009 will be in the same spirit and so successfull as in 2008. At the end we very thank you to all parties concerned, sponzors and funns, who kept us the favour.

Czech Championship  Bechyne

On 19th and 20th of July the date in Bechyne took place in the opportunity for Pažout Motomejdan Show. From bird´s-eye view we could see the depot full of team tents close to the tents depot there were „the town“ full of attendants. A little bit further there were also big tents for firty people and at the end there were big stage with full day programme. Here is only the brief listing of performers - Jana Kratochvílová, Petr Kolář a Pražský Výběr II. We came on Saturday morning as it is a little bit diffucult to spent 3 days at the airport in the noise and the dragster rivalry and the tilt. On Saturday there were 3 qualification runs, on Sunday one more and after that it was decided the rank for the race. At the Teenager Category the rank was very similar as at last races, Kryštof was the last one and if he had wanted to the final runs, he would have overplayed Anežka Svobodová, who at the semifinal runs was better by 0,3 sec even though Kryštof had the better start. At the National Category, the rank was very similar, now there was only 2 tenth, Michal Pekárek had the advantage and he went „bye“ and Pavel overplayed at the semifinal runs Tomáš Čížek. Both relyed on the reaction at the start and Pavel´s start was perfect, his reaction time was 0,015 sec and this decided. (Tomáš´s reaction time was 0,2 sec). Final runs and the following victory was not for any of riders sure. On the basis of video record Pavel started up as the first and he got the jump of the half motocycle. Unfortunately for him, when he geared up the gear button got jammed and over the continuing pushing was not let out so Michal won. But also this bad luck has to be counted and we can realize that every little thing can influence the race. Final runs at the Competition and SSb category were very nice. At the Competition category even though Honza Kouba had better start up, Otto Knebl won with the faster Kawa. At the SSB Category Ondrej´s machine stoppped at the start and Míla Bernátek „probably“ at the best time of 8,6 sec (we do not have the accurate information) and he reached his triumphal victory, which could also mix the Ondrej´s head and there is not sure, who will be the Czech Champion. Everything will be decided at the last race in Hoškovice in August. At the race Ondrej gave the protest against the timing. But according to our video record everything seemd to be OK. At the Modified Street Twin Category we could also see Pavel Snítilý who was overplayed by Ftanta Smrčka at the final race. At the 12,0 Category Myšák won on his „steam boat“ and at 10,5 Category Honza Ječný overplayed Tomáš Čížek. Races were very successful, who had not come made a mistake and we can definitely think back on it.

After the long winter break we met each other in Hoskovice again. The weather was very varied, the temperature was between 8 and 25 degrees and in one minute we were dressing pulllovers and in the second one we were having only T-shirts. Also the general view to all Řehounek drag team was a little bit funny as they came from warm Litětiny to the much colder Hoškovice and mostly evrybody by motocycle. Till the evening they were defrosting very slowly and during the night they were again freezing. So back to the race. After small changes of gear box and technical inspections we entered into qualification runs.

We were very dissapointed by Krystof ´s "Hyjawood" with the engine Hyosung 125ccm (4 stroke engine). The time was a little bit better, but the speed was the same as the last year. So I have to confirm that two stroke engines are better, with more energy output and faster also in the comparison with 50 ccm  2 stroke engines! I have to say, that 4 stroke engines are the way a little bit backwards. Hanka Hlaváčová with her Minarelli 50ccm could show us and Anezka her back. We  fell behind her by 3 sec! We also hope that she very soon fairly changes her motocycle and she races on 125 ccm, to be able to compare all motocycles.

In the National Drag category we were very pleasantly supprised. So I have to also thank again to Rehounek team as they carried out the engine general overhaul and also they helped me to change the motocycle frame, where we saved more than 30 kg. We had a success from the first qualificatoin runs till the end. The first run, where Pavel BW stood next to Michal Pekarek, was one of the most attractive ones for spectators. After the start both motocycle were flopped and almost after 200 meters were calmed down. Michal´s engine was not so good as he wishes so he just passed following 200 meters. Pavel reached his personal record of 10,587 sec. In semi-final runs he got over Michal and he stood in final runs, where he won and overplayed Tomáš Čížek. Tomáš´s times were also very high quality as he raced with the time below 10,2 sec and he fought for the first place. The better Pavel´s reaction won the race, where 0,2 sec was enough for him to be able to control the whole route in his next personal record of 10,296 sec. He also reached the first primacy in his career. So now we have 6 weeks to do something with our „Hyjawood“ and we will see what we will be able to manage.

As for the Competion category, in my opinon it was a small disapointment. Only Otta Knebl and Mara Richter got below 9 sec. Otta overplayed Mára and as the third Jirka Včelák became. On the other hand Ondra Klymciw in SSB Category reached the perfect time below 9 sec and in the final runs he did the perfect time again of 8,903 sec and overplayed Míla Bernatek. His victory was deserved. As a side note we can say, that Martin Řehounek had a bad experience with his engine, for the first time he was not able to gear up the first speed so he had to start with the second one. Unfortunately he forgot to pulled out the safety pin from pneugear box and when he wanted this safety pin somewhere at 100 meters relieved, not only the gear box but also the back wheel  were jammed. Martin skidded over 50 meters and after that he stopped. 

So what can I say at the end? The weather was not so bad, all were good tempered and we also had some success. I would like to invite you for the next International Drag Race taken place in Hoškovice again June 21 and 22.

The end is good, but all is NOT well. These words I would use to describe the last race of the Czech Dragster Championship. The weather was a big question mark as always. Forecasts have not been very good, it was raining during the night so everything hung on by thread. Thanks Good, everything fell out well and in the windy weather the lane got dry and it was prepared more than fine. After the first runs everybody could see that it is the last race. Most of machines were a litle bit tired and some racers had to pushed them to the end J. Mainly in the Competition Category. As usually „Demolition Man“ Michal Ponca destroys his motocycle while the heavy smoke and litres of oil are gushing out on the lane.  Also Petr Bajer were not be able to drive even 100 meters and Marek Richter´s mechanicians are preparing with might and main the engine to be able to at least start in the final run. But at the end Marek Richter is new and old Czech Champion in the Comptetion Category and we congratulate him!! In the SSB Category, Honza Kouba won as the last year. In our Junior Dragster Category, not even the Hanka Hlaváčová victory over Anežka Svobodová has not changed the rank and the champion remains Anežka. Our Kryštof Brokeš is unfortunately finishing his way on the final 4th place, where his motocycle after 20 meters expired so we have to say goodbye to this machine but we believe that our new engine prepared in our garrage will stack the cards in the next season.

In National Dragster Category we drove our new record. Time 10,640 and also the second place gave us a huge optimismus. In the semi-final run we are racing with Tomáš Čížek. We are feelling the big tension and concentration when we are approaching the start line. Unfortunately the red light indicates the early start and it finishes our hopes and wishes. After watching the videos, we have not found any mistake and we can see that both motocycle start identicaly. So what can we add, the light says clear verdict and the result is definite. We are reaching generally the 3rd place what is very sad for us, but when we look back, the rise to the 3rd place from the last one in 2006 is a big success. At the end I would let to thank to all of you, mechanicians, organizators, racers, audience, … I believe, that you could see the adventure during the whole year. Thanks!

Czech Championship + UEM Hoskovice

I would say that this Championship was a little bit crazy. The weather was not very nice from the beginning and it showed us how it can make a trouble. We had to several times break the race because of the cloudburst and wait until the track got dry.
During Saturdays qualifications we few times improved our record in the National Dragster category, which is now 197 km / h and the time is 10,704 sec. In spite of this, it was not enough for getting on to final runs with Michal Pekárek, the Czech champion (9,752sec, 206 km / h), who won the whole race at the end. Even he had to face up big problems, when in the second qualification run he drove his motocycle out of the track (very close to the audience) and only with big stress he returned the motocycle from the grass back to the track. Our 3rd place was satisfying for us but we peeped a little bit for the better place. In the Junior Dragster category we have not awaited any miracle and Kryštof reached his record in the speed of 97 km / h and it was very behind the best competitor. Let´s hope that we will suceed in finishing our new special motocycle EMOT 50ccm and crinkle the rank of competitress a bit.
As usual the royal class of Competition Dragsters brought us races with full of turnovers and interesting moments. One of them was the run of Laszlo Papp, who nearly shot down another competitor Otto Knébl after that when Laszlo is getting his engine out of control and driving to Otto´s run. Fortunately nothing happened and everything went well. Also his other runs were very interesting. In the semifinal runs, Laszlo´s engine after 150m crashed a bit and he had to push it to the end (he reached the record of 192 sec:-))) In spite of this he did not break any rules so he was qualified for the final runs, where he unfortunately was only one. The second final competitor Mára Richter had a hole in his cylinder block and he could not get in final runs.
During the Championship the very serious and unpleasant accident happened. During Public Bikes runs at the end of the track one of the competitors drove by turning to the next run determined for the second competitor, who hitted him in the maximum speed. The ambulance car and the helicopter is comming to the place of accident and taking injured competitors to the hospital. After that all races for the public were stopped.
In spite of the weather a lot of visitors came to Hoškovice and I think that they could not be disappointed. They could see the very high quality and perfect engaged (and also very well organised) race on the European level. I believe, that audience will get into our favour and come to our next race placed in Tchorovice.

Children´s Day

On Saturday June 2nd, all over the Czech Republic children days took place and also we could not stand idle so we decided to show our motocycles on the Vodochody´s playground. We only regreted that our town Odolena Voda, where we live, was not interested in our show in spite of the fact that also Michal Ponca with his new motocycle promised the participation. From that reason we took an advantage of inviting the nearby  village named Vodochody. After the half an hour of competitions, children met together in our depot and the discussion with children started , respectively monologue, which was not boring, I think. At the end of our discussion, children were looking forward to getting start the engine. Children tried to start our 50ccm moto „Blaťaťa“ through the launching cable but they choked the engine so much that it took a while to be able to start again. After that children could touch the accelerator and turn the machine speed up to the maximum limit followed by the big noise from Kawasaki. The show was finished by the warming up of tires right down on the grass, where a little smoke appeared. I hope that it was the experience for these children and in the future we would like to continue in this activity.

Czech Championship Hoskovice

Translation:

All racers went down to the Hoškovice airport hoping that they win their first points. Also our team, which spent the whole winter by tuning our motorcycles, believed that their maximum would be broken. Nevertheless after the first run we take hard „brain death“ in the National Dragster category. After the perfect start-up (approx after 150m) by gear changing you can hear the shocking noice going out from the engine and there is clear that something happened with the gear box. Now our service moped arrives and treks our motocycle to the depot with very unhappy Pavel´s face. Fortunately after the detailed checking, our wrong prediction of destroyed gear box is not confirmed. Our mechanician Jindřich Hošťálek is finding out the trivial reason which caused the jammed piston of the compressed gear changing. After this shock, we enter to the 2nd qualifying run, where we did the optimal raced time, which is good for our starting race position. After the qurtefinal run we race with  Luděk Přibyl on his Suzuki GSX-R 600 and we prevailed him by the time of  11,004 sec and the speed of 185 km/h. In to the comparison of the last year, we improve our last recod by 1 sec and 10km/h. After problems with the gear box we had the problem with the suction, where the engine does not go ideally above the speed of 150km/h. It could be caused by the air turbulence, which does not flow to the 3rd and 4th carburetter and the composition is very reach and the engine does not work with the optimal output. This problem can not be simulated on the „brake“ but after some other runs. Another our competitor Michal Pekárek is however the big candidate for the whole championship and he finishs our way. At the same time and after his first run, he wins the race with the outstanding time 9,92 sec. At the end I think, that our 3rd place is deserved. At the junior Dragster category we placed only our alternative motorcycle „Blaťaťa“ and it is more than evident that in the very large competition (not even the time of 16,5 does not mean the victory) we have no chance. At the time of 16,277 sec Anežka Svobodová wins but she is followed up by Hanka Hlaváčová (16,5599 sec). I have to say the it was very dramatic duel from the beginnig to the end. We have to only hope that we will try to finish our new motorcycle (which is very close to the end in our garrage) for the next race.

At the final runs „regular“ competitors fight. At the SSB category Miloš Bernátek wiith Honza Kouba, where last year champion wins. At the Competition category, Otto Knébl with his new moto wins (I would say rather with 400 horses racket).

What can I say to the end? We have to definitely thank to the weather because despite of the bad forecasts we had also the sun. At the next whole weekend race we can await more hard competititon and also foreign participants. So we can looking forward to the great event. Do not hesitate and come!

Almost ideal weather welcomed all participants to the last race in this season. About 40 racers met at the Hoškovice airport (this season already third time) where they were trying to catch last points. As our bikes have not adjusted or changed at all, our team got into the tilt with modest ambitions.  We concentrated mainly for the start improving and the driving technique. Both our racers improved their personal record and it was one of the best compensation for us. The race in the National Dragster where very dramatic from the beginning to the end. Karel Hejduk fought with Tomas Cizek to a finish over the first place and Pavel Beer Werdan fought over the third place with Radek Tesinsky.In spite the fact that we were very close to the success, everything did very unhappily. The conclusion of all puzzles was the performance of Tomas Cizek. His performance in his young age (16 years old) was very juvenile during all his races. Not a single time he was able to start up properly (unfortunately for us) and his last early start sent Radek Tesinsky to the final race, who put aside Pavel Beer Werdan in the final rating to the 4th place. However we have to add that Radek was better during the whole season and he definitely merited this 3rd place. In our second category (Junior Dragster) nothing suprising happened so without any problems Anezka Svobodova won and she won also the whole season followed by Hanka Hlavacova and our Krystof Brokes. The nearly heroic preformance of Milos Bernatek in the SSB category could very suprise all attendants. Milos despite the fact that his bike is not equiped with N2O, was able to be the best due to outstanding starts and perfect driving technique. (In the final race he also knocked the best racer and SSB category Czech winner Honza Kouba down). In the most prestigious category  - Competition Dragster – Marek Richter performed that he is really the king on the field of dragster and he become wothily the champion of the Czech Republic. Marek Richter also broke a record of Michal Ponca from 2005 (speed 272 km/h of Ota Knebl has not been beaten, however only by 1 km/h). And the whole day was crowned with the big success of David Bryknar.He exceeded the world record (and also the new registration to the Guinness record book) in the driving on his own legs behind the car. He set up the new record of 270,8 km/h. What can we say at the end? I think that this season fell out well. We all trust that the number of race will increase for the next season for 5-6 (as was mentioned). This year showed us that we have a lot of work ahead. We have to tune the totally new junior dragster bike and also tune some parts in our bike in the National Dragster category. For more, please see our fotogallery.

After unsuccessful departure on Friday due to very bad weather and heavy raining we left to the matador Tuning party in Hradec on Saturday. It is a shame, that it was not just Friday because if it had been drought, we could have tried many times the Hradec´s airport, tried starts or even our bike properties. We did not anticipate any dramatic race, but only the dragster exhibiton and also having a chat with our friends. There we not a lot of bikes at all, only Martin Rehounek with the family, who due to the trouble with his gear box, had not taken his bike, Mara Richter, Milos Bernatek, Karel Hejduk, Petr Kaspar and me. The organization went with buzz, and just after the arrival we had to start our first run, which was without any troubles. In my opinion, the track is not very superior. Sometimes you can feel airport panels and sometimes (cca after 300m) I felt in my front steering the bump, which lifted my front wheel. The same problems had also Míla Bernatek, his front wheel was quiver, but fortunately he went to the end succesfully. After our exhibiton, where the audience applaud us, we  were looking forward to the car exhibition, which has instead of classical engine the engine from the F4 Phantom plane. This car has approx. 10 000 horse powers and it is able to accelerate from 0 to 400 km/ h for 6 sec. It belongs to the Jet Funny dragster category. The pilot in the asbestos dress had to a lit bit keep calm from the beginning thanks to the audiance staying behind him. The audiance could be a little bit got brown when he used the full power, so after the slow start we could see approx. after 100meters his full power and acceleration, where all could hear the deafening noise from his flamy turbine. After that in a second he softened the power and from the back part of his car the chut was shot. The exhibition went on and we got on the next runs. Times were very similar as in Hoskovice, so no miracle did happen. However the most important was that we could race and also enjoyed the audiance. Unfortunately such a lot of people as in Hradec had not visited Hoskovice two weeks sooner, when the European Drag day happenned. On the other hand Hradec´s exhibition is also the show of totaly drunken and rude Poles who without any words promenaded on our bikes.

Report + Translation

The culmination of season is here ! Who did not arrive, made a big mistake since it could be seen nearly the best of czech and european motocycle dragster sport. Also our team entered the long and severe weekend full of promises. We made couple of adjustment and settings with our special for National Dragster. Unfortunately there was not time enough to make everything as we wanted, as we had prepared new electronics and components for exhaust but due to lack of the time we was not able to install it.. Anyway in spite of it both our drivers made their new best times. However our competitors also did not idle and immediately during first qualifications was seen with their times that they are prepared perfectly. In category National Dragster both Radek Tesinsky (who made every race better time and better) and Karel Hejduk  had Dragsters  set-up excellently. Quartet of the riders in this category completed with his "standard" performance sixteen old Tomas Cizek, who at all the time after weak start drew it up during finish. After all he during final race paid off his nonage and in duel with Karel Hejduk lost. In category Junior Dragster we expected encounter between eleven old Hana Hlavacova, who had absolutely new motorcycle and Anezka Svobodova, who has big respect with her average speed in final line around 120km/h. Notwithstanding Anezka had stronger special and on final line she had 125 km/h compared to 110 km/h of Hanka during final race after haywire start she was not able to drew it up an lost. For our rider Krystof Brokes who unfortunately was not able to compete the others is slight success that he reached best his time for 1/4 mile (20,7856) with speed 96 km/h what 1-2 years ago will be sufficiant for best places. But last two year fathers of some juniors have suceeded in building of such specials for which is not problem to reach times deeply under 20 seconds. This fact has pressed us to think about building new Junior Dragster special, which will be able to compete competitors. Despite of this all we enjoyed this marathon weekend (both days started at about 9 a.m. and finished at 7 p.m.) Well, who will have good luck again to see so soon that fearful 600hp "Kawasaki - monster" of Papp from Hungary, who immediately terrified everybody during first qualification with time 7,4 second and speed 297 km/h ???  But what is absolutely engrossing not even this powerful machine was not enough to win the whole Championship, because even Papp made mistake on the start and his challenger took advantage of it and won. At the end I would like to thank to all riders (from Czech and Slovak Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Hungary, Austria and others), organizers and especially to spectators who made us sweet weekend. 06.05.2006 Czech Championship Hoskovice

Hey Day, here it is. The first event in the Czech National Drag Serie. We spend such a lot of nerves and efforts to be able to prepare everything. When you imagine that we had set the engine for National Dragster only 15 hours before the start so it makes all ours flash creep still today. After all our efforts everything fell out well and already in the first qualifying run our drag shows our racer the giant power and he keeps it with big difficulties on the race. Our second racer Krystof Brokes surprises all our team and disregarded by all of us he reaches his own personal record with the highest speed of 95 km/h. However this nice success is not enough for other competitors with the speed overlapping 100 km/h. The further course of the qualification are without any complications. After the stunt man show both our drags stand on the start of eliminating rounds. Unfortunately, it seems that Kryštof´s  machine in the Junior dragster category is not able to compete and loses without any doubt just in the first race. So now we have the key problem, there is more than evident that we have to find some new engine and fall back on minibike area to normal gear box version. However we were very nicely surprised by good results and hope in the group of National Dragster. At the first sight our results were not a big deal (13sec and speed aprox. 166 km/h), but we have a lot of new ideas how to adjust our bike for the next race. We believe that after these adjustments sour times will be beneath 12 sec. In this group Pavel Beer Werdan performed the escapade and among the very difficult competition he placed the excellent second place. Congratulations!

22.04.2006 TEST DAY Hoskovice

Our racers, all stuff and machines arrived to Hoskovice to take part in one of the last chance to try our machines and mainly be present in the obligatory technical inspection. All of us realized our weak point. Our machine for National Dragster was still disabled (problems with oiling) so we did not bother to remove it from our cart. However we received the registration without any problems and we had time to devote to our second machine for Junior Dragster category. As of technical  problems it occupied us a lot during the whole winter. The one of the weakest point is the clutch which is not suitable without the gear box at all because of the huge starting load. It was set up thanks to the limited reduction for the maximum speed limit of 135 km/h in rate of 6:75 and rotating of 16 000/ min. Unfortunately we have not still received the sprocket promised by Blata producer. If we have it, it would cause the decreasing of the speed and better acceleration at the beginning. This facing was so bad that we had to change it each run, what was not very good sporting chances for further races.
